The Dyfed Herd was established in March 1985 with Yanley Gina 2nd, and her calf Yanley Gina 7th, and is one of the oldest herds in Carmarthenshire.

 Later Langabeare Nessie and Deerhurst Regina were bought. Most of our herd is related to those bloodlines. As females grew, bulls were bought: Wroxall Judo, St Clears Del Boy, Sundial Lewis, Bennant Norman, Celtic Perfect and Penwern Wiseman.

We had a successful show career for the past 2 decades with Dyfed Starlight, Dyfed Harlequin 3rd, Deerhurst Regina, Dyfed Saga 3rd, Dyfed Hello97 and Sundial Lewis all winning many championships and interbreeds.
